Our stay at the cabin on Bear Lake was absolutely wonderful and exactly what our family was looking for. It was rustic, quiet, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. In particular, Patti was an incredible host both in her communication with us prior to the trip, as well as her responsiveness when I reached out with questions about how to find more toilet paper. Although neighbors are close, this spot on Bear Island was incredibly quiet and peaceful, especially the access to the lake. We have stayed at a few different lakeside places on Lake Winni and this was by far our favorite because the cove where the cabin is located is calm with minimal waves from passing boats (there are also all of the water toys and things we could possibly need to enjoy the lake). The proximity to the public boat launch at Goodhue Marina in Meredith was also ideal. Thank you for a great trip - we will be back!

Can’t explain how perfect our family weekend was from the amazing views, sunrises over the mtns, to the water sports and hiking it has it all! The flat stone grill made every meal a breeze and we’ll be back next summer! Only change for next year is adding another day. Patricia and Matt were incredible to work with and were big part of what made our stay so memorable. Thanks again for everything!

Cottage is nice enough, though a little rustic. Not unusual for an older cottage. Our biggest issue was that it had not been cleaned very well. Fair amount of pet hair on furniture. Ceiling fan is covered with hair, etc. some dishes had been put away wet. General feeling that we did not want to use anything in the house without cleaning it first. Also extreme limited cooking appliances with only 2 tiny electric burners and toaster oven. The outside space and dock area are nice. Unfortunately docking a boat is a constant concern due to shallow water and rocky conditions. Car parking is also an issue as Meredith now requires permits for Cattle Landing and parts of Shep Browns. Took us a couple days and a ticket to figure that out. Patricia was great about getting us guest parking passes. She was also great about helping take care of a couple minor issues in the cottage. Overall the cottage location is great! Our concern about returning there would be the docking, cleanliness, and clut

We had a fantastic stay on Bear Island on Lake Winnipesaukee! The house was perfect for our multi-generational trip—it comfortably fit my parents, husband, our baby, and even our dog. The space was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to outdoor seating for morning coffee with a view. The location was absolutely beautiful and peaceful—waking up to the lake right outside our door was such a treat. We spent our days swimming, paddle boarding, exploring the island, and just enjoying time together as a family. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Our hosts were kind, communicative, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We’re so grateful for such a special week on the lake and would absolutely love to return!

We loved spending time with our kids at the cabin! Felt very welcoming, surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed the outdoor sports and kids had a blast paddle boarding , kayaking and tubing. It’s been an amazing trip for our family. Thank you, Patricia, for a being a wonderful host!

We were expecting a cozy lake cabin, and that was exactly what we were treated to. The cabin was modernized, very clean, and comfortable. The outdoor setting was "rustic cabin retreat,' and Patricia even left us with the fixings and firewood to make smores in the outdoor fire pit. Thanks Patti! We spent a full week boating, fishing, hiking the Bear Island trails, relaxing and enjoying the lake, the scenery, the wildlife, the weather, and the peace and quiet. Patti was a great host, made sure that we were all set, and we even shared a laugh together. Definitely looking forward to another stay in the future. Ken, Julia, Steve, and Laura

This was a cozy little place, with access to walking paths, a huge front yard for campfires, picnics, and space for the kids to play, and a well-maintained dock. The view from the cabin is truly stunning. For parents of young kids: the bedrooms are indeed ‘cozy’, there was only one furniture configuration which fit our pack n play. If you’re coming in the shoulder season, bring a baby gate to put in front of the wood burning stove. Patti was a great host, we would stay with her again!

We had an amazing time at the cabin. The sunrises were gorgeous, cooking on the grill, kayaking/paddle boarding, cozy fires, and everything we could have needed! We made such great memories and appreciated you and Matt’s hospitality so much. The cabin was great and so were you guys. We will definitely be back!

We were expecting a cozy lake cabin, and that was exactly what we were treated to. The cabin was modernized, very clean, and comfortable. The outdoor setting was "rustic cabin retreat,' and Patricia even left us with the fixings and firewood to make smores in the outdoor fire pit. Thanks Patti! We spent a full week boating, fishing, hiking the Bear Island trails, relaxing and enjoying the lake, the scenery, the wildlife, the weather, and the peace and quiet. Patti was a great host, made sure that we were all set, and we even shared a laugh together. Definitely looking forward to another stay in the future. Ken, Julia, Steve, and Laura

This was a cozy little place, with access to walking paths, a huge front yard for campfires, picnics, and space for the kids to play, and a well-maintained dock. The view from the cabin is truly stunning. For parents of young kids: the bedrooms are indeed ‘cozy’, there was only one furniture configuration which fit our pack n play. If you’re coming in the shoulder season, bring a baby gate to put in front of the wood burning stove. Patti was a great host, we would stay with her again!

We had an amazing time at the cabin. The sunrises were gorgeous, cooking on the grill, kayaking/paddle boarding, cozy fires, and everything we could have needed! We made such great memories and appreciated you and Matt’s hospitality so much. The cabin was great and so were you guys. We will definitely be back!
